Wind Energy Advantages
As far as we think about future we need to consider energy crisis that we are going to face when we’ll run out of fossil fuels. Knowing it’s about to come we need to think it over which energy sources is best to use as our main one in years to come. Currently we use few alternatives like solar panels, water turbines, biomass and windmills farms. In the next few hundred years one of these is probably going to become our main energy source. It’s good idea to have a look at advantages and drawbacks of all of them. In this article I’ll just describe advantages of windmills that we may currently experience.
First thing is that with this technology we use renewable energy source. We will never run out of wind as long as there is atmosphere in the Earth. This is huge advantage in comparison with coal or gas. This brings a sort of safety that if we’ll move into wind energy next energy crisis may never come again. Wind is just not going to stop blowing. We will be able to use it for next millions of years.
This is also one of the cheapest power sources we know. The price of kilowatt-hour oscillates around four-six pennies. This may bring huge savings both on a large scale (where huge wind farms supply whole cities) and on a mini-scale, as wind energy generator home systems help to cut energy bills.
Thirdly this energy is eco-friendly. As windmills doesn’t emit any toxic smoke (there is no burning) and doesn’t influence environment in any other harmful way this is a energy source of choice for many people who value Nature and want to live in harmony with it. And number of such people is growing every year. This solution makes impossible any sort of ecological disaster (like that one in Mexican Gulf) to happen. So that energy is not only clean but also safe.
Fourthly space that is used for windmills still can be used for something else, like farming animals or growing plants. Windmill doesn’t take too much room itself, and we still can make a use of all space around it.
These are main advantages of wind energy farms and home systems that we can experience nowadays. As we understand them, we can work to move into using them into larger scale then we do today, so that we’ll not get into trouble when we’ll run out of fossil fuels. Considering growing number of people with access to electricity we can predict energy prices constantly moving up next years. So it’s a good thing to prepare ourselves and invest into alternative power sources now, to avoid paying huge prices for oil in the future.

Going Green Gardening Fun
Going green is a very popular trend in today’s society and for good reason. You see it in the grocery stores with reusable bags, banks are consistently trying to get their customers to go green by banking electronically and some stores are converting to more online coupons, offers and sales. There are also ways to be more earth-friendly at home. I’m going to cover here plenty of tips on how to go green in your garden.
There are plenty of things you can do to conserve energy, reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials while gardening. Taking a second look at your watering practices may allow you to cut down on utility expenses while also conserving one of earth’s most precious resources. When shopping for plants, select those suited to your region’s moisture conditions such as native plants that naturally thrive in your locale. If you live in an area with limited rainfall, choose drought-tolerant plants for the best success. Group moisture-loving plants in the same area and near the water source. By concentrating the watering chores into one area, you conserve water and reduce maintenance. To save water and use the water that replenishes earth naturally, use rain barrels to collect rain water and then use it to water your container plants or garden. An easy way to conserve moisture in your soil is to cover with organic mulch such as wood chips or other natural materials like seashells or ac!
orns. Reuse those green piles of pest-free plant debris, herbicide-free grass clippings, fall leaves and noninvasive weeds by mixing with a bit of soil and fertilizer to make a rich, organic compost pile. Another easy way to deal with those fall leaves is shredding them and covering your lawn with the thin layer it will produce. Use twigs and branches from pruning to create decorative fences, arbors, trellises and even garden art. Mow your lawn high and often, removing only one-third of the grass blade at each mowing. And don’t throw away those grass clippings. They add nutrients, organic matter and moisture to the soil. In fact , a season of clippings is equal to applying one pound of actual nitrogen fertilizer per 1, 000 square feet. To keep from washing away into storm sewers and polluting our water, make sure to sweep off grass clippings, chemicals and fertilizers from sidewalks, drives and other hard surfaces. And if you want to avoid using chemicals all together, try digging out weeds by hand. You’ll burn more calories and use fewer pesticides. And if this is not an option for you try usingeco-friendly-energy-efficient"> environmentally friendly products. One way to do this is by using corn gluten; but if you want to find a spray, look for ones that contain ingredients such as vinegar, soaps and plant oils to burn the tops off of unwanted plants. To bring in some night light try using our own resource, the sun. Use solar power to light up your landscape, power your water fountain or run your irrigation system. In order to bring down your carbon footprint even more, try using electronic-powered equipment instead of gas-powered mowers, for example , because they can produce as much pollution as driving a car 100 miles. Consider permeable pavers or stepping stones when adding new walks to your landscape. And lastly but certainly not least, reuse and recycle your old tools by donating them or turning them into creative lawn ornaments and garden art.
These tips should give you a good start in transitioning to a greener lifestyle. Starting out in your garden will only increase your desire to keep it up and maybe carry over to other aspects in your home and lifestyle. While thinking green in your garden saves you money you can use that savings to decorate it with beautiful lawn décor.

Free Electricity Forever - Is it Truly Possible and How?
Have you heard the buzz lately? More and more people are actually considering living off the grid and plugging their households toeco-friendly-energy-efficient"> alternative energy sources instead. The idea has spread like wildfire over the years and the people's desire to understand every aspect of the renewable energy technology gave birth to more ideas that change the way most people are utilizing electricity in their homes. This led to more cost-efficient and accessible home power solutions that made living off the grid a possibility that almost anyone can afford.
For a time, renewable energy solutions and living off the grid was perceived as something inconvenient and did not coincide with the modern lifestyle that we have been accustomed to. We have abundant supply of electricity, why go through the trouble of generating on your own? This is what most people think. But the times have changed and we are now faced with the grim possibility of running out of fossil fuels-our main energy source--that will likely make the abundance of energy that we spoke of before, a thing of the past.
This is beside the fact that commercial electricity is becoming more and more expensive. Some people are just tired of catching up with their ever-increasing energy bills and so have decided to liberate themselves from it. They took the first step towards the living off the grid goal, and have found out that it's really possible if you want to achieve it.
It might seem like a big move, but it's actually a fairly simple process. You just need to look at it from an uncomplicated point of view. Using alternative energy solutions means using an alternative and renewable power sources like the sun, wind, water, biomass or magnet. The forms of energy that you can derive from these sources can be harnessed and converted in another form of energy that we can use, which is electrical energy. Now, it's easier to simplify the whole process into two simple objectives: collect (other energy forms) and convert (to electricity).
But what happens if the energy source is not available all the time, like in the case of the sun? This is what batteries are for. Excess electricity created from alternative resources is stored in batteries and is retrieved and used in the absences of direct energy source. These batteries must be maintained in order to operate at their maximum capacity. But other than that, alternative energy solutions demand almost no maintenance at all. When set up correctly, it functions almost automatically and all that you need to do is to make sure that your usage does not exceed your supply. Naturally, your system must match your electricity load to be able to completely live off the grid.

Yes, You Can Generate Cheap Electricity!
It’s incredible just how much technology has evolved over the past decade. With the advent of technology, our way of life has changed drastically. Free energy generators are one of the biggest and latest blessings of the progression in technology. Gone are the days when you had to rely on the power company to provide you with electricity to power your homes and appliances. Nowadays you can generate the same electricity at your home without having to pay for it ever! Honest! But the question that comes to your mind is why should you try out a free energy generator, when you already have an electricity connection, right?
Are you aware of the procedure used by power companies for the production of electricity? Tens of thousands of tons of coal are burnt every single day to power your home by these power companies and the quantity of pollution this creates is best left to your imagination. Such an act leads to global warming, harmful effects on the environment and shortens life span of living things. Can you live with the guilt?
Do you want to live with the guilt of destroying the planet when instead of taking alternate routes to stop that happening in the first place? Other alternatives such as free energy generator which were not only moreeco-friendly-energy-efficient"> environmentally friendly but provided you with absolutely free electricity as well!
Now you don’t want to be that person do you? The answer is quite obvious. And after you’ve heard about the incredible benefits that you stand to gain by using free energy generator, I’m sure you’ll change your mind. First of all you need to realize the many free energy generator options that you have nowadays. I am certainly not referring to gas or petrol generators as they obviously do not produce free electricity.
Free energy generators can be divided into four broad types. Each of these types have their own advantages and disadvantages and the selection of which free energy generator you should choose basically depends on your electricity needs and whether the free energy generator in question, can work effectively in your dwelling.
Hydropower generator- The term hydro stands for water in Greek. For electricity to be generated using hydropower generators, water is required. Now, hold on there, it’s not like you’re going to fill the generator up with water and watch as it produces electricity. Electricity is generated by hydropower generators when fast moving water flows through it. Should your house be next to a fast flowing river, you can surely use this type of a free energy generator to produce electricity. When a hydropower generator comes in contact with fast flowing water, its turbines turn which results in generation of electricity that can be used to run appliances in your house. But the biggest problem with this type of free energy generator is that, not many people have streams of rivers running nearby their houses. That is why this option is not ideally recommended for everybody
Wind power generators- As the name suggests this free electric generator type depends on the force of the wind to produce electricity. Wind power generators are made of three blades that resemble a fan which spin when wind gushes through them. The best place for to install a wind power generator is either a balcony or your rooftop. When wind gushes through the blades, it creates a spin which in turn produces electricity. These free electric generators type requires almost no maintenance but the issue with this type of free electric generator is that if you live in a city or an area where there are no strong winds, then the amount of electricity that you would generate would be limited. In case you live in an area that has many barriers to wind such as high rise buildings, it would be better for you to turn to other free electric generator options.
Magnetic generators- Now we come to my preferred type of free electric generator, the magnetic generator. Now most of you out there must be thinking that how can magnets be used to generate electricity right? I had the same feeling until I came across this little guide that changed my life; Magnets4Energy. I’m normally not the kind who goes for these kind of products, as I’m apprehensive of being scammed but on the claim of some friends of mine, and after reading a review about magnets 4 energy ( http://www.free-energy4all.com/magnets4energy-review.php ) , I tried out this neat little guide and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Magnets4energy has helped me build a magnetic generator that has sharply reduced my electricity bills. Before making my final decision as to whether I should try or leave the product, I decided to look for relevant information on the internet to help in making this decision. It was a true shocker for me to know that people were already taking advantage of this blessing. Trains called Maglev also rely on magnetism for power! In Japan, these trains have been known to clock speeds of up to 500 Km per hour. But the best thing about these magnetic generators is that they do not need any special conditions in which to operate. These are not reliant on water, wind or sunshine. The procedure for constructing a magnetic generator is thoroughly covered in guides such as the Magnets4Energy! You are now ready to produce free energy without causing any damage to the environment!
By now I’m sure you’ve understood the numerous benefits of using a free electric generator and just why you should think about using them. Go for the choice that suits you best and take the initiative in keeping this planet a safe and healthy for all of its inhabitants.

High Price of Gas
Recently, an alarming phenomenon has been taking place. In the last few months, gas prices have been increasing at staggering rates which has led to individuals rethinking their automobile purchase choices. For those people who are currently in the market for a new vehicle, the high price of gas that has recently been seen has pushed them to consider other, more fuel-efficient automobiles. As one never knows when gas prices will decrease, thinking in terms of purchasing a fuel-efficient vehicle may be on the forefront of a number of individual’s minds. The high price of gasoline is an important factor which individuals consider when purchasing a new vehicle or even trading in their old car for a more recent model.
Environmental Factors
Another reason why prospective car buyers may be looking into the purchase of a more fuel-efficient vehicle is due to the environmental ramifications that go along with certain gas guzzling automobiles. The less gas a car uses, the moreeco-friendly-energy-efficient"> environmentally friendly that vehicle is. There are a number of different types of pollution which are directly related to automobile use. Therefore , more and more individuals are looking into hybrid vehicles which utilize both electric and gas fuel components to make the car run and are more environmentally sound overall.
Having to Fill Up With Gas Less Often
How many times has one tried to take their vehicle as far as it could go on a single tank of gas so as to avoid having to stop at a gas station to fill up? Most likely the answer is quite frequently. Although filling the car up with a tank of gas does not take a long time to do, it is still an inconvenience to some individuals, especially those who are often running late for one appointment or another. Therefore , by purchasing a vehicle with good fuel economy, the driver will have to stop less often to fill up their gas tank and this in and of itself is something which pleases many individuals immensely.
Most Fuel-Efficient Cars in 2005
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) often compiles lists showing the vehicles with the best fuel economy based on a fuel efficiency gauge for both city and highway travel and are shown in a city/highway ratio. The EPA files these types of lists as fuel economy is quite relevant to pollution and other environmental factors. The following paragraphs will summarize the top 10 list of the most fuel-efficient vehicles which was compiled by the EPA for 2005.
The vehicles ranking in the number 10 spot of the EPA list are the Dodge Neon and Toyota Celica GT which both get 29/36 mpg. Those vehicles ranked in the number 9 slot are the Scion xB (31/35), Toyota Matrix (30/36), Pontiac Vibe (30/36) and Honda Accord Hybrid (30/37). Rounding up the number 8, 7, and 6 slots, respectively, are the Scion xA (32/37), Toyota Corolla (32/41), and Toyota Echo (35/42).
The top 5 most fuel-efficient automobiles contain quite a few from the same car manufacturer with the Honda Civic HX (36/44) coming in at 5 th place and three various types of Volkswagens, Volkswagen New Beetle TDI, Volkswagen Jetta TDI and Volkswagen Golf TDI, all coming in at 4 th place with a 38/46 ratio. As for the top 3 spots, these belong to the Honda Civic Hybrid (45/51), the Toyota Prius (60/51) and the Honda Insight (61/66).
One will notice by reading the list above that hybrid vehicles are often cited in the top 10 of all fuel-efficient vehicles. There are a few different reasons why choosing a hybrid vehicle may be the best choice for those individuals looking to purchase a new car.
Reasons to Choose a Hybrid Vehicle for Your Automobile
There are two main reasons why purchasing a hybrid vehicle may be in the best interest of the driver of the automobile and the people around that individual as well. The first reason for choosing a hybrid vehicle is due to its fabulous fuel efficiency. There are a number of different car manufacturers who have either come out with hybrid vehicles or are in the process of making vehicles of this type. Car manufacturers realize that fuel efficiency has a vital place on an individual’s car buying list of must haves.
Another reason for choosing a hybrid vehicle which is not only beneficial for the owner but for the general public as well is the environmental factors surrounding hybrid automobile use. The more gaseous fumes and toxins which are released into the air, the worse it is for the environment as a whole. Those who truly appreciate the fact that hybrid vehicles are more environmentally sound than other vehicles which strictly use gasoline as their main mode of power are ones who are more likely to purchase a hybrid vehicle. It is important to note that most hybrid automobile drivers purchase their hybrid vehicles due to fuel economy reasons as well. Car manufacturers have also responded to environmental concerns by producing vehicles which are of a hybrid nature and therefore much more gentle to the environment.
Choosing a vehicle which is fuel-efficient is an extremely wise decision. Not only will the driver of a fuel-efficient vehicle save a lot of money on gasoline purchases but will be doing their part to preserve the environment as well. These are two very valid reasons for choosing a vehicle which boasts good fuel economy.

The 2 Types Of Hybrid Cars
Many automobile companies have spend millions of dollars each year in research and development of more efficient fuel consumption for cars. Each year more and more cars are rolled out the production plants and there is an urgent call by consumers and environmental groups to reduce the fuel consumption of automobiles.
With the increasing cost of fuel and the environmental concerns regarding harmful emissions of toxic gases into our atmosphere, automobile companies are forced to developed radically different types of cars. One of which is the hybrid car
A hybrid is powered by conventional fuel as well as uses electric energy. Hybrid cars have lower fuel consumption and are moreeco-friendly-energy-efficient"> environmentally friendly.
All hybrid cars are powered by two engines: a gasoline engine and a electric engine. Typically, they work in tandem with each other. The gasoline engine is used during starting and stopping the car. Once the car is travelling at a certain speed, the electric engine will take over automatically.
In the current market, there are 2 types of hybrid car. The first type is the series. Typically, the gasoline engine is used to start and stop the car. Once the hybrid car has attained a certain speed, the electric engine will take over. The gasoline engine is also used to charge the electric engine’s batteries. As you can see, both engines are used in tandem with each other but never together.
The second type is called the parallels. It has the same physical configuration of the series hybrid however the operation is quite different. Both the electric engine and the gasoline engine can be used to start and stop the car. The electric engine is used to boost the power of the car when required. Parallel hybrid cars are more suited for long distance travelling.
Usually, hybrid cars are built using very lightweight materials in order to reduce the load on the hybrid car when travelling. This help to save fuel by requiring less energy to move the vehicle. The tires are made more rigid than conventional vehicles with higher tire pressure to increase fuel efficiency.
In on whole, a hybrid car consumes 50 to 60 percent less fuel than a conventional car. The only obstacle is the high cost at the present moment but I am sure as consumers start to recognize the benefits of hybrid car, the prices will start falling and become more affordable.

Going Green With Wind Turbines
Wind Turbine Energy: A New and Green Alternative
When people think about finding green sources of energy, they often turn to solar power. While it is true that solar energy is a clean alternative to using traditional fuels such as gas and electricity, it is not the only green option available. Wind turbine energy is method of generating energy that is not new in theory since there are many who know how to generate electricity using wind. However , wind turbine energy is still a new form of powering an entire home.
Wind Turbines vs Solar Panels
Both solar panels and wind turbines generate power that can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels. Since solar energy and power generated using wind turbines is clean and easily renewable they can both be used by people who are looking for ways to reduce their carbon foot prints by reducing the amount of fumes that are emitted into the atmosphere. It is believed that if the planet turned away from traditional forms of power such as oil and coal the greenhouse affected (the warming of the Earth's climate) could possibly be reduced.
The problem is, people who are interested in clean power do not know whether they should choose solar power or wind turbines. When making your choice think about your climate. If your home does not receive direct exposure to the sun on a regular basis, you might want to consider wind turbines. Remember, the energy stored by solar panels is depleted as electrical appliances are used, so if you are not able to constantly renew your solar energy wind turbines are the best, green, alternative.
Saving Money With Wind Turbines
The cost of installing a home wind turbine might be enough to discourage many homeowners. Since using wind turbines to fuel homes is still new, manufacturers and installation specialists have not had enough time to develop cheaper ways to build and install wind turbines. Having a wind turbine installed for private use can cost from several hundred to several thousand dollars.
The final cost is determined by the amount of energy you and your family will be using since this will influence how much power your wind turbine will need to generate. However , it is important to remember that after the wind turbine is installed you will have a limitless amount of energy at your disposal. Once a wind turbine is working you will no longer have to worry about paying monthly electricity bills which will save you thousands of dollars each year. In fact , your wind turbine should be able to pay for itself after only a year or two.
Going green is a choice that will help you and the environment. By switching to turbine fueled energy you and your family will be able to drastically decrease your monthly electricity costs. Also, switching to wind generated energy will help the environment by reducing the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere. You might also be able to further help the environment by starting a conservation trend in your neighborhood.

How To Produce Free Electricity at Home?
Homeowners are inundated with rising expenses and discovering the newest way to produce free electricity using a magnetic power generator may be helpful in saving money on heating expenses. It differs from a solar powered type of generator. Unlike the solar, wind and water sources of generating energy, it is self-perpetuating and not dependent on external forces.
http://www.renewableenergysystemreview.com/download-magniwork.htm
It is built in a similar way, using three components that are used to make the other kinds of generators. The magnets and long-lasting batteries are used to generate electric power. I also learned to build my own DIY electricity system cheaply using a guide that I will share more about with you.
Big businesses and environmental proponents are eager to find new substitutions for oil. Although a few controversial remarks have been made about this new generator, there has not been a particular defect identified. The United States will benefit from using this alternative energy source. If there is more of it generated this way, there will be less dependence on oil from overseas. There is no limit to how much heating costs can be reduced.
The generator works by using magnetic forces. A physics expert named Maxwell discovered the law of electromagnetism and developed it for practical use. One of the magnetic generators can be built using parts purchased at a local hardware store.
Two opposing magnets create a force and the third magnet balances that force. Motion is perpetuated, thereby producing energy. It is long-lasting compared to solar, wind or water power.
After being introduced to the public in 2002, it grew popular in a short time. It can heat a house, run the washer and dryer and light up the entire building. This generator will give the other three types some competition. The manufacturers of those others are critical of this new one. Perhaps they are afraid of that possible competition.
It is capable of lowering heating bills by fifty percent. There are no safety issues, but more research is being conducted. There is no doubt that this magnetic power generator can produce free electricity. The only question is, how much? The initial cost may be high, but regardless of that, buyers can save money for years into the future. Homeowners are hopeful that it will be manufactured commercially for those who do not want to build their own. I have personally managed to build my own home DIY electricity system simply following a DIY guide online.

How Much Can I Save with Energy Saving Devices Like Efergy Elite
The 21st century is known as the Green century. We all have become used to seeing the giant windmills and the solar panels almost everywhere we go these days. The news is filled with the promise of exciting new energy sources that will save the environment and make our world clean. Someday, George Jetson might just have the ability to fly his mum to the chiropractor. For now, though, we are still on our way and we cannot just sit around and wait can we? Shouldn't you be doing something? Shouldn't you be turning the heating or the air conditioning down? What is the harm in wearing a sweater or stripping off a layer or two? Well one of the things that we all understand is that going backwards to the 19th century is not going to work.
Modern Focus
This is a new world and with all of the focus on words like "Sustainability" and "Renewable Energy" you can sometimes feel that you are powerless to do anything that really matters. That is a false impression. There is much that is now possible that wasn't just a few years ago. While you may not be able to afford to put a windmill on your roof yet, technology has advanced to the point that everyday appliances can become a weapon in the battle against global warming.
Ways to Save
For example , let us consider everyday activities and look at targets of opportunity. You might be familiar with the ritual of tea drinking. Perhaps a dozen or so times a day? This is something that constitutes a fundamental social activity, like eating or keeping warm. As such it should be the first place you look for ways to save. The logic being that if everybody does it the collective impact will be significant. The trick here is that you and most all your mates drink tea. So if you where to take steps to save energy by drinking tea, say, with an Eco Kettle, they would ask and they would do it too, right?
How Much Savings
How much would you save? Well, according to a recent study if you and all your mates would use an Eco Kettle there would be an impact. The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) estimate that if every kettle user in the UK switched to an Eco Kettle, over 1, 270, 000, 000 kWh of electricity could be saved every year. That is a potential saving of over £1 million a week to the average UK householder.
Just in case your mates are skeptical, you should actually buy an Efergy Elite. It is an energy use monitor that will record every watt you use. This way, when you mates ask you to prove your point, you just show them the numbers and "Bang! " you've started a revolution. You see, most people tend to ignore what they do not see. With an Efergy Elite you will see the results. This way you, your family and your mates will be able to track the results and feel more involved. They will go out and buy their own and you can have a contest. You'll have intelligence in the war on global warming.

The Tremendous Benefits of Organic Gardening
The art of organic gardening is simply growing food in an environmentally and health friendly manner. Because an organic garden is produce without the use of pesticides and commercial fertilizers you are not only providing yourself and your family with healthy foods, you are also helping the air, water, and soil within our environment.
organic gardening carries many benefits that you may not be aware of. This article will help you identify the benefits of an organic garden and determine whether organic is the way for you to go.
When you produce organic foods, you are producing all natural, safe, and much healthier foods. These foods will have a greater amount of nutrients and minerals within them than those grown with the help of commercial products. You are reducing your family's risk of ingesting harmful additives and pesticides, and increasing their nutrition at the same time.
Let us have a look at some of the other health benefits of organic gardening. One important benefit that research has discovered in organic foods is the fact that by eating foods grown organically, you are building your body's immune system, thus giving it the ability to fight of many different types of diseases, one of which is cancer.
organic vegetables have been proven to contain a higher concentration of nutrients. A team from Rutgers University did a study comparing produce from a grocery store and the same items grown organically.
While the Rutgers team expected the organic food to show a slight increase in minerals compared to the non-organic, they were astounded by the results of the tests. The organic produce contained much greater amounts of essential minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium.
Non-organic spinach had only three percent of the iron contained in organic spinach. Non-organic tomatoes had only a tiny fraction of one percent of the iron found in organic tomatoes. What was more surprising was that many essential elements were completely missing from the non-organic produce.
Not only are organic foods higher in vitamins and minerals but they also lack the harmful chemicals found in non-organic foods. Thanks to the lack of chemicals within organic foods, you are reducing the amounts of toxins such as fertilizers, hormones, and pesticides in your body. Furthermore, while reducing the harmful instances, you are increasing the amounts of healthy minerals within your body such as vitamins, phosphorous, magnesium, and iron.
Another great benefit of organic gardening is that the foods you produce will have a longer shelf life and taste a whole lot better. Research has shown that without additives and other such elements, organic foods can be stored better and longer than foods with chemicals and processes.
Furthermore, without the chemical additives, the foods from your organic garden will simply have a better taste, which is delicious. The taste of a fresh, organic tomato is far superior to a tomato bought at the local grocery store which was probably pulled from the vine weeks earlier when it was still a bit green.
These are some of the great benefits to growing your own organic produce. There is also the benefit you get from working in your garden, out in the sunshine and fresh air, reducing any stress from a day at the office. organic is simply better for your overall health.

Making Your Home Energy Efficient Adds Up To Big Savings
/> Government statistics report that conserving energy costs in the home can save a household several hundred, even several thousand, dollars per year on their utility bills. Replacing your older appliances and elements of your home’s structure, such as older windows and doors, with more energy-efficient alternatives, such as products that meet ENERGY STAR guidelines, is an important step to maximizing the amount of money you can save.
/>
/> ENERGY STAR is a government program that identifies products – including appliances, home electronics, and home improvement products – that meet energy efficiency guidelines that exceed the minimum federal standards, as determined by the U. S. Department of Energy. You can identify a product that meets the organization’s guidelines by looking for the signature blue ENERGY STAR logo.
/>
/> The ENERGY STAR program began as a voluntary labeling tool to "identify and promote energy-efficient products to reduce target=" blank" href="http://www.commissionshops.com/shop/energy-efficient"> greenhouse gas emissions. " It started with the labeling of computers and monitors and more than a decade later, has expanded to identify all types of products used in homes and offices that conserve energy. The result: Consumers and businesses have saved billions of dollars since the program began – $12 billion in 2005 alone.
/>
/> Energy-efficient appliances – such as refrigerators and freezers, clothing washers, dishwashers, dehumidifiers and window air conditioning units – can cut consumer utility bills in half when compared with standard models. And home improvement products with an ENERGY STAR rating – such as vinyl replacement windows, doors, skylights and siding – help to better maintain your home’s temperature control, cutting heating and cooling costs anywhere from $20 to $400 per year.
/>
/> If you’ve been searching for a product in any one of the more than 40 categories rated by ENERGY STAR, you may have come across the organization’s blue logo. That seal of approval indicates that the item can perform as well as, or better than, comparable products, but save you more money than if you purchased a less energy-efficient option.
/>
/> A refrigerator meeting ENERGY STAR’s energy conservation guidelines today: Uses 40% less energy than models sold in 2001, saves its owner 15% in energy costs when compared with other models (freezers save 10%) and compact models, with volumes less than 7. 75 square feet, save 20%. A washing machine that meets ENERGY STAR guidelines: Saves its owner up to $110 per year, requires 50% less energy than standard washing machines, uses up to 50% less water and has more efficient spinning cycles to reduce drying time.
/>
/> Energy-efficient appliances provide an obvious cost savings for a household’s energy expenses. And other products that meet ENERGY STAR standards, such as vinyl replacement windows, doors, skylights and siding, make a significant contribution to keeping those costs down as well. Replacing your existing windows and siding with newer, better designed vinyl replacement windows and insulated siding can quadruple the insulation value of your home and save an average of 30% on your utility bills.
/>
/> In addition to saving money, vinyl replacement windows with this rating create a more comfortable living environment by eliminating drafts, blocking heat, Offering protection from sun damage and reducing interior condensation on windows. In the winter, energy-efficient vinyl replacement windows keep the interior glass warmer for better temperature control. And the warmer the window, the less interior condensation that, over time, can damage your window sill and paint job, and encourage mold growth.
/>
/> In the summer, these windows also block 45 to 70% of the sun’s heat and provide "sunscreen" to your home by blocking ultraviolet light that can reduce fading up to 75% without compromising visible light.
/>
/> Whether you are looking to add to the beauty of your home and lower your energy bills by installing vinyl replacement windows, or you want to make a smart decision when choosing your next dishwasher or window air conditioning unit, products that meet ENERGY STAR guidelines offer an economical alternative that leaves more money in your pocket.
